After staying in the family for decades, the Brentwood home of legendary 1930s actress Billie Burke can be yours for a cool $2.995 million.
Burke, most famous for her role as “Glinda the Good Witch” in 1939’s “The Wizard of Oz,” was also married to famed showman Florenz Ziegfeld from 1914 to 1932. As a Broadway actress in the early 1910s, Burke epitomized the type of beauty and glamor made famous by the Gibson girls, and later, the Ziegfeld girls in her husband’s many revues. Burke’s career spanned from 1908 to the 1950s, encompassing the diverse mediums of theater, radio, and film.
After her death in 1970, Burke’s Brentwood home was passed down through the family for years, according to the L.A. Times.
