Guests staying at a Brentwood short term rental were robbed at gunpoint in a recent home invasion.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) via the Brentwood Community Council (BCC), the incident took place around 7:50 a.m. on the 100 block of South Rockingham on Wednesday, December 16.
“Three suspects armed with semi-automatic handguns forced entry to a residence, took residents at gunpoint and stole US currency,” the BCC said.
Suspects fled the scene in a new model Mercedes with dealership plates, according to the BCC. “LAPD indicates the victims knew the assailants and it was a targeted hit that poses no further threat to the community.”
According to the BCC, the house was being used as a short term rental and listed online with photos of the interior easily visible, making entry points easily known to the assailants.
