LAFD hoists 15-year-old to safety after Friday evening accident

A teenager was air lifted to a hospital after mountain biking accident in Brentwood recently.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the incident was reported on Friday around 6 p.m. on the Mandeville Canyon Fire Road trail. LAFD Air Ops responded to the scene where a 15-year-old male who had suffered an unspecified injury while mountain biking on the trail, a Department spokesperson said.
Firefighters and paramedics were lowered down to the patient, treated him and secured him for air transport to a local hospital.
This is the second mountain biker to recused via air lift in recent months in the area, following a December 19 incident at Sullivan Fire Road that saw a man suffer serious suffered head and neck trauma following a fall in remote terrain.
