Brentwood Home’s Security Camera Helps Apprehend Burglars

Brentwood Crime Report, April 27 – May 2

A Brentwood home’s security system recently help police arrest two burglary suspects. Learn more in the latest Brentwood crime report.

Burglary

April 29 between, 10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., 12200 Block of Dorothy Street. Suspect(s) smashed rear window to residence and entered location. Once inside the suspect(s) ransacked the location and broke open small safe and removed jewelry. Suspect(s) fled the location. Property taken was jewelry and U.S currency.

Between April 30, 9:15 p.m. and May 1 1:30 p.m., 300 block of Avondale Avenue. Suspect(s) forced open rear French doors and entered the location. Once inside the suspect(s) ransacked multiple bedrooms. Suspect(s) removed property and fled the location. Property taken was jewelry.

April 30, 10 p.m., 200 block of Rockingham Ave. Suspects used ladder located in backyard to gain access to the second- floor balcony. Suspect(s) then smashed window which triggered house alarm which got the attention of the house keeper downstairs. The home owner was contacted by the alarm service of the activation at which time they observed on camera the suspect(S) running through the backyard. Homeowner then pulled up and observed suspect(s) pulling away from curb from location. The homeowner contacted 911 and followed the vehicle onto Sunset Blvd. Officers conducted the traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested two suspects for burglary.

May 1, 4:30 a.m., 11900 Block of San Vicente Boulevard. Suspect entered rear UNLOCKED door to the business and entered the location. Once inside the suspect removed safe containing U.S. currency.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle/Theft From Motor Vehicle

Between April 20, 4 p.m. and April 21, 4 p.m., 11600 Block of Montana Avenue. Suspect(s) entered parking garage by unknown means. Once inside the suspect(s) entered victim’s vehicle by unknown means and removed property and fled the location. Property taken was a jacket and check book.

Between April 25, 5 p.m. and April 26, 9:45 a.m., Suspect(s) entered victim’s vehicle by unknown means and removed property. Property taken was U.S. currency and medical equipment. Vehicle was parked in carport.

Theft

April 26, between 11:15 a.m. and 6 p.m., 11900 Block of Dorothy Street. Victim advised that they received a notification that a package had been delivered too the lobby of the building. Upon returning home the victim advised that the package had been taken from the lobby. Property taken was supplements.
