Become an SBRA Board Member, applications due May 26.

Applications are due next week for a position on the South Brentwood Residents Association (SBRA) Board, representing over 18,000 community members.
The SBRA represents over 18,000 residents who live south of San Vicente Boulevard, north of Wilshire Boulevard, east of Centinela Avenue and west of Federal Avenue. In addition, the organization represents all residents living in multi-unit dwellings anywhere in Brentwood.
SBRA is currently looking for community members wanting to serve an Advisory Board position.
“We know there is a lot of talent in South Brentwood….please consider joining us!” the SBRA wrote in its May 15 newsletter. “If you are interested in applying for an Advisory Board position, please fill out an application at https://southbrentwood.org/sbra-application/ and we will get back to you to schedule an interview.”
The SBRA serves as South Brentwood’s liaison with Los Angeles City Councilmember Mike Bonin and Brentwood’s LAPD Senior Lead Officer Matt Kirk, becoming involved when there is a development project nearby.
“We represent you by attending hearings, writing letters and meeting with elected officials when local and regional issues such as major development, traffic or transportation projects arise to make sure that the perspective of the South Brentwood Community is represented,” the SBRA says.
In addition, the organization informs members about an array of incidents including crime, updates, coyote sightings, wildfire mitigation, road construction and closures through emails and social media. The SBRA also hosts an annual meeting with elected representatives and community leaders to answer members’ questions.
