Veterans Affairs police investigating theft of 25 by 30 foot flag

A 25 by 30 feet garrison flag was stolen from the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs’ National Cemetery Administration over Memorial Day weekend.
According to the Veterans Affairs’ National Cemetery Administration, the flag was stolen between late Sunday night and Monday morning. The gates to the cemetery were closed at the time of the theft, officials said.
A volunteer with the Los Angeles National Cemetery Support Foundation, told ABC 7 it would be difficult to remove the flag alone, since it is normally handled by three people.
According to the Veterans Affairs’ National Cemetery Administration, the incident remains under investigation by Veterans Affairs police.
