*I you have any ladders on your property please secure them in a locked garage, storage shed or secure with chain to prevent suspects from gaining access to the second story. Most suspects expect the second story of a home to not be alarmed like the first floor*
Remember always lock your doors and windows when you leave your home. If you have an alarm please use it and if you have security cameras, make sure they are working, and the footage can be accessed.

I just want to remind everyone that if some call or e-mails stating that you need to send money or gift cards most likely it’s a scam. If they say they are from a reputable company contact thecompany with a phone number that you acquire and check that way. Sometimesthese suspects can be very convincing but never just hand over money, gift cards or any personal information.
If you are going to sell an item on the internet and meet in person make sure you have someone else with you and make the transaction in a public location. Many people meet in front of police station to make the transaction and advise the buyer of the location prior to meeting. Also, when you are shopping please keep your purse on your person and not left in the shopping cart. Thieves will many times work in pairs to distract the victim while the other suspect takes the purse. If you feel it is necessary to keep your purse in the shopping cart have it zipped up and place it in the bottom.
