1930s Era Home Is Priced At $8.395 Million A Year After Holbrook’s Death

The Beverly Hills Estate of esteemed acting couple Hal Holbrook and Dixie Carter has been put up for sale for nearly $8.4 million as reported by The Dirt.com. The home has six bedrooms and seven and a half baths that sits on 8,400 square feet of space and is perched on a cliff overlooking the San Fernando Valley and at the end of a long gated drive. The lot sits on three quarters of an acre, surrounded by trees and is very old Hollywood. It is filled with portraits of its late owners and the keepsaked from their long careers as actors in the entertainment industry and theatre.
After you walk through the grand foyer, you are greeted by a portrait of Carter that is hung over an equally grand curved staircase. The home has formal dining and living rooms, the living room is where you can find the portrait of Holbrook hung over a tiled fireplace. The dining room is a very bright shade of pink.
Holbrook’s collection of his Emmy Awards is in the partially paneled library but is inconspicuously located on an upper shelf. The adjoining officer has an amazing collection of photographs of Carter with a view of the city out the window.
