40 LADWP customers left without water Sunday
A broken water main flooded the streets of Brentwood over the weekend, leaving dozens of people without running water.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the incident was reported around 3 p.m. Sunday on the 100 block of Carmelina Avenue.
Officials attribute the source of the flooding to a broken eight-inch water main, impacting water service to 40 residences and one fire hydrant, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP).
The broken main resulted in water several inches deep flooding the street and pushing trash cans around.
