13,000-square-foot mansion hits market

Russell Westbrook, the point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, has put his home in Los Angeles on the market amid what is termed as “perpetual trade rumors” as reported by The Dirt.com. Westbrook has only been with the Lakers for less than a year.
The home has been listed for slightly less than $30 million and is located in the Brentwood Park area. The estate is 13,000 square feet and was listed on September 15. Originally, Westbrook bought the manor for $19.8 million in May of 2018 so the price represents a large increase on what Westbrooke considers the property’s value to be. The home was brand new when Westbrooke bought it prior to leaving Oklahoma where he was playing for their City Thunder team. The price increase might be due to the fact that Westbrooke has upgraded the still new property with custom and “ultra-bespoke” additions to the home.
There are not many photos of the property, but the listing calls it “modern traditional”. The home was designed by Ken Ungar Architect who designs custom luxury homes. This structure has an open floor plan, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and many French doors, with custom moldings and finishes with big lawns in the outside areas.
The listing describes the home’s amenities and says,” The large kitchen enjoys imported marble slabs and a center island while overlooking the rear grounds, the breakfast room, and the huge family room which has warm wood flooring, a wet bar, and a fireplace. The lower level encompasses a second family room, a large formal bar, a walk-in chilled wine room, a gym, a guest bedroom and an ultimate movie theater. On the top floor, the Five Star primary suite features a vaulted wood paneled ceiling, a spa-like bathroom lined with imported marble slabs with two separate bathrooms joined by an oversized glass shower, a private patio and two separate walk-in clothes that rival any luxury department store. “ According to The Dirt.com, the estate is on a corner lot with a half acre of space and Bjorn Farrugia at Hilton & Hyland and Donnell Beverly Jr. at Berkshire Hathaway HSCP are the realtors in charge of the listing.
