Brentwood Community Council Announces Upcoming Community Events, Including CERT Radio Training Class

The Brentwood Community Council (BCC) announced the following upcoming events in their most recent newsletter: 

CERT Radio Training Class

Learn how to keep your family connected during a natural disaster when cell phone service is disrupted by registering for our CERT Radio Training Class. To register, please visit the Everbrite link.

Brentwood Farmers Market

Join the Brentwood Community Council at the Brentwood Farmers Market on Sunday, March 5th! This outdoor event will be postponed in case of rain. The BCC will have a table at the market and LASAN experts will be joining them with information on LA Sanitation’s new composting program. Qualified households (LA residents who receive trash service directly from LA Sanitation) can also receive one free composting pail.

Next BCC Meeting

Join the Brentwood Community Council meeting on Wednesday, March 8th at 5:30 p.m. at Brentwood Presbyterian Church, located at 12000 San Vicente Boulevard. The meeting will feature the introduction of a new district field representative, Skyler Payab from State Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin’s office. In addition, the BCC will have prosecutor John McKinney from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office join to discuss hate crimes and his vision for a hate crimes division in the DA’s office.

Save the Date

Save the date for Earth Day 2023 on April 22nd from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Barrington Rec Center. More details to follow.
