Raised in a family deeply rooted in the cheese industry, Kurt Gurdal’s love for cheese blossomed from a young age. As a child, he enjoyed delightful goat cheese on toast during weekend family gatherings and relished the delicious combination of Comté and salami sandwiches for his school lunches. Kurt’s passion for cheese only grew as he pursued formal training at Neal’s Yard Dairy in London, renowned for its exceptional British Isle cheese selection and a distinguished cheesemonger shop.

During his time at Neal’s Yard Dairy, Kurt had the privilege of visiting dairies, working at their aging facility, and learning the craft of being a cheesemonger. This invaluable experience set the foundation for his expertise and love for pairing cheese with the perfect wines.
