October Extravaganza at the Library: Month of Exciting Events Includes BioBlitz Program

Discover Fun Activities for All Ages and Updates on BioBlitz Success

Get ready for an action-packed October at the library! Donald Bruce Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library is thrilled to share its exciting calendar for the month, featuring a variety of events for both adults and kids.

BioBlitz Events Update: Thank you for the incredible response to our BioBlitz events! All spots for our BioBlitz Kickoff on 10/7 and “Lifestyles of the Slimy and Squishy” on 10/30 are now filled. However, we still have a few openings for our “Discovery Cube: Owls are a Hoot” event on 10/24, designed for kids ages 5 and up. Secure your spot for this engaging event here.

Storytime Break: Please note that we are currently on our storytime break, and there will be no storytime this week or next week (10/11). We will be back on 10/18 with storytimes now offered at both 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. The library will send out more details next week. 

Here’s what’s happening this week:

  • Monday, 10/2 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Grinnell
  • Wednesday, 10/4, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Bonnie
  • Thursday, 10/5 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.: Brick Building Playtime
  • Friday, 10/6 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Camille
  • Saturday, 10/7 at 11 a.m.: Join us for the BioBlitz Kickoff with special guest Peter Falcon.
