BCC Spreads the Word on Community Survey and Hosts a Community Senior Walking Event

Take The Chance to Give Your Opinion and Learn About Inaugural Community Walk

The Brentwood Community Council’s email newsletter noted two community-related opportunities for Brentwood residents this week.

First, BCC let it be known that the “Upper Mandeville Canyon Association, in collaboration with several other HOAs, is conducting a vital survey to address issues related to cell and landline communication services within our community. Your input is crucial in identifying and resolving these concerns.”

If you want to add your input to the survey, complete the Google form. The email also said that the Upper Mandeville Canyon Association asked that responses “provide details of any communication problems you’ve experienced at your residence, along with your home address. This information will be instrumental in accurately mapping the extent of our communication challenges and will be shared with relevant City agencies to work towards a solution.”

The form itself states, “We will share the information you provide about your phone service with our political representatives as part of our ongoing efforts to improve emergency communications in our community in the event of a wildfire. No other information will be shared beyond the UMCA, MCA, BHA, and the Brentwood Community Council boards.”

It also asks that questions about these efforts and how this information will be used. Please contact your organization president or John Binder, UMCA President, at jfbinder@roadrunner.com or that technical questions about filling out this form. Please contact Julia Weinstein, UMCA Treasurer, at juliaweinstein@gmail.com.

Another note from BCC makes the suggestion that seniors join a friendly walk through the neighborhood prior to the Wildfire Safety Fair on Sunday, which BCC, Civic Rep Sheila D. Simmons, and Environmental Rep Orit Zigman Lador are hosting. It says, “Put on your walking shoes and join your neighbors for a refreshing Sunday morning walk starting at Whole Foods. Explore our beautiful neighborhood on foot, culminating at our Rec Center, where a delightful spread of pastries and coffee awaits you.” They request, to ensure there are enough pastries for everyone, that residents who wish to take part in the walk and community social event take a moment to RSVP.
