LAPD Detectives Investigating: Last Seen Near Del Rey Lagoon
The family of Fazlollah Elahi, alongside detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Area, are seeking the public’s assistance in locating him after he went missing on April 22, 2024.
Elahi was last seen around 3:00 p.m. in the 100 block of 63rd Avenue near Del Rey Lagoon. Accompanied by his wife, Lucy Elahi, they had parked their white 2003 Toyota Prius with California license plate “5AWP524” at the location. While Mrs. Elahi took their dog for a walk around the lagoon, Mr. Elahi remained in the vehicle with the keys inside. Upon her return approximately 40 minutes later, Mrs. Elahi discovered her husband and the car were missing. This situation is particularly worrying as Mr. Elahi did not take his necessary daily medication for his Alzheimer’s.

He was last seen wearing a black hat, plaid jacket, black long-sleeve shirt, and blue sweatpants. He also wears a bracelet that contains his diagnosis and contact information.
