Target Slashes Prices on 5,000 Everyday Items for Summer Savings

Consumers to Enjoy Reduced Prices on Essentials Starting Now

Target Corporation announced on Monday it will lower the everyday regular prices on approximately 5,000 frequently shopped items across its assortment. The retailer has already reduced prices on about 1,500 items, with additional price cuts set to roll out over the summer. Customers can expect savings on everyday essentials such as milk, meat, bread, soda, fresh fruits and vegetables, snacks, yogurt, peanut butter, coffee, diapers, paper towels, pet food, and more. These reductions are projected to save consumers millions of dollars this summer.

“We know consumers are feeling pressured to make the most of their budget, and Target is here to help them save more,” said Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief food, essentials, and beauty officer at Target. “Our teams work hard to deliver great value every day, and these new lower prices across thousands of items will add up to additional big savings for the millions of consumers that shop Target each week for their everyday needs.”

Consumers will find reduced prices on household staples, especially as they prepare for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and the back-to-school and back-to-college seasons.

These price cuts are in addition to separate Memorial Day discounts across Target’s assortment to help consumers celebrate the holiday.

Additional reductions will be applied to dozens of national brands and popular Target-owned brands like Good & Gather and Everspring, spanning key departments such as food and beverage, household essentials, health, and beauty products. New prices will be clearly marked with red tags in-store and will also be reflected online at Target.com and in the Target app.
