The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson Airs in a Two-Part Series
Nicole Brown Simpson’s family will honor her life in a Lifetime documentary that will air in two episodes, which are two hours long, that started airing on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2. “Nicole’s story will finally be told as her three sisters – Denise, Dominique, and Tanya – and her closest friends come forward for the first time to share her truth.”
The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson focuses on the tragic events that unfolded on June 12, 1994, when Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were found murdered in her Brentwood home. Nicole’s ex-husband O.J. Simpson was accused of the crimes and brought to trial but was acquitted in one of the most famous trials in history. The families later sued Simpson in civil court, where he was ruled responsible and ordered to pay $34 million to the victims’ families.
“People are actually going to hear her voice,” Nicole’s younger sister Tanya Brown told The Hollywood Reporter. “I forgot what she sounded like. The only recording I remembered was her 911 call, and I don’t want to remember my sister’s voice in fear. I want to hear her playing on the beach with her kids saying, ‘Hi Sydney’.”
A press release states, that The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson “provides an opportunity for Nicole’s own narrative and voice to be heard in one of the most notorious crimes and trials in history. The project features 50 participants, including those who knew Nicole the best — her friends and family — to shed new light on her life and tragic death. With unprecedented access to exclusive home videos and interviews, the documentary will reveal shocking new details in the tragic story,”
The documentary seeks to show viewers a new perspective on someone whose life was cut tragically short. The announcement of the documentary came a day after the death of O.J. Simpson, who recently died at 76 of prostate cancer.
