Trees Felled During Winter Rainstorms Lingered in the Neighborhood
Council District 11 City Councilmember Traci Park addressed an issue that had not been addressed since the February and March rainstorms. In an email, Park let her constituents know that some unfinished business from those soggy times had finally been taken care of.
Park stated, “During the historic rainstorms, a few trees in Brentwood collapsed onto the street and broke utility poles. DWP and StreetsLA cleaned the street and restored power, but unfortunately, the stumps were not removed. Once a neighbor alerted our office, we coordinated service for this site, and the stumps were removed on Thursday.”
The issue at hand was the stumps of several large trees that had been felled during the storms. For reasons unknown, these stumps had remained in the area, posing a potential hazard and an eyesore for the community.
Park included before-and-after photos with the email that showed the area with the stumps and the newly cleaned area after the stumps had been removed.
