Brentwood Library Continues Free Eye Exam Program for Kids
The Donald Bruce Kaufman Brentwood Library has announced the resumption of its regular children’s programming this week following last week’s cancellations. The only change to the schedule is that the Baby Music & Play session, initially set for August 19, has been canceled but will return in September.
This week, the library will host its usual Storytime and Brick-Building Playtime sessions and a special Kids’ Poetry program on Saturday, August 24, at 2 p.m. The poetry program, aimed at children aged 6 to 11, will explore creative ways to craft silly poems and experiment with different poetic formats.
Here is the schedule of events for the week:
- Wednesday, August 21:
- 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.: Toddler/Preschool Storytime
- 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Bonnie
- Thursday, August 22:
- 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.: Vision to Learn – Free Kids’ Eye Exams
- 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.: Brick-Building Playtime
- 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Camille
- Saturday, August 24:
- 2:00 p.m.: Kids’ Poetry Program
The library encourages families to take advantage of these activities and looks forward to welcoming children back for a week full of fun and educational events.
