Sensory Crafts and Language Learning Among New Programs
The Donald Bruce Kaufman Brentwood Library is set to participate in the L.A. BioBlitz Challenge this October, a city-wide event encouraging residents to assist scientists by observing local wildlife. The challenge provides a great opportunity for Angelenos to get outside and explore nature.
As September comes to a close, the library will host a “Sensory Crafts” session for children aged 2-6 on Monday, Sept. 30, at 4 p.m. The activity will feature hands-on crafts using materials with a variety of textures to stimulate creativity.
Additionally, the library’s new weekly program, “Caregiver & Kid Language Learning,” continues on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. The program offers English language learning and practice for adults who speak English as a second language, as well as early language learning for children, regardless of their first language.
There will be no Storytime this week, but the program will return on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
