Firefighters Quickly Extinguishes Flames From a Residential Chimney
Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters quickly contained a chimney fire at a two-story home with subterranean parking on North Anita Avenue on Friday afternoon, according to an LAFD alert.
Crews arrived at the residence at approximately 1:18 p.m. to find heavy smoke emerging from the chimney, though the interior of the home was clear of any residents.
A total of 46 firefighters located the source of the fire within the wall surrounding the chimney and successfully extinguished the flames in 25 minutes, as stated in a press release by LAFD spokesperson Lyndsey Lanz
No injuries were reported. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and it is under investigation.
