Brentwood’s Newest Architectural Marvel Lists as a Modernist Masterpiece

Brand New Estate Blends Contemporary Elegance With Cutting-Edge Luxury

A newly completed estate in Brentwood, designed by AD100-recognized architects Ramin and Pamela Shamshiri of Studio Shamshiri, has emerged as one of Los Angeles’ most intriguing architectural offerings.

Located at 11968 Brentridge Drive, the 12,587-square-foot residence blends modernist design with its 1.2-acre natural setting, which is close to the Getty Museum. Completed in 2024, the home features sweeping curved geometries, board-formed concrete, and steel-framed geometrical windows, establishing a bold yet refined presence.

Beyond the gates, a sculptural porte-cochère introduces the home’s defining elements—expansive voids, soaring ceilings, and abundant natural light. A circular oculus illuminates limestone floors, while 20-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling steel windows frame verdant views. The interiors incorporate hand-troweled plaster walls, bronze detailing, and limestone surfaces, with a monolithic concrete fireplace anchoring the living room.

Designed for both functionality and elegance, the kitchen features a Wolf range, Miele appliances, and custom millwork, along with a temperature-controlled wine vault and professional-grade bar. A helical staircase leads to the upper-level primary suite, complete with a study, lounge, and private rooftop terrace with an outdoor fireplace. The spa-inspired primary bath includes a freestanding garden tub and dual shower beneath skylights.

The residence includes five-bedroom suites in the main house, each with ensuite baths featuring rare stone and metalwork, along with an additional guesthouse suite. Outdoor spaces are meticulously curated, with a resort-style pool, lush gardens, and pathways lined with blooming jasmine. A private funicular—the only known operational residential one in Los Angeles—ascends to two luxury yurts offering panoramic ocean views.

Technological sophistication complements the home’s design with Control4 automation, a surround sound system, and a six-car garage accessible via an underground tunnel. A beautifully designed home that is part of one of Brentwood’s most desirable neighborhoods can’t help but stand out.
