SLO Kirk Temporarily Reassigned; Weekly Crime Updates on Hold Until Further Notice
Senior Lead Officer of Brentwood, Matthew Kirk, who sends out the Brentwood Weekly Crime Reports, made an announcement on Tuesday via email.
It was brief and said, Good Morning, I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been assigned downtown to work the ongoing protests. I’m sorry, I won’t be able to conduct my normal duties as your senior lead. I will let everyone know as soon as I’m back to my normal duties. Stay safe! Thanks, Matthew Kirk.”
This indicates that the weekly crime reports have been put on hold until he is released from his temporary duties in the downtown area.
