I have never been to Argentina, but I know I won’t feel out of place if I ever get there.
That’s because I spend so much time at Gaucho Grill, right here in Brentwood.
From the warm greeting from owner Lionel Amosa to the food to the Tango music playing in the background, it’s easy to transport oneself — in one’s mind, anyway — directly to the Pampas – or Buenos Aires, perhaps.
if you are a carnivore, you’ll love Gaucho Grill. The cuts are all top-notch, from a basic New York steak to a thick and juicy filet mignon (perfect for celebrations).
The waiters and waitresses are always proud to offer Malbec wine from the homeland to go along with any of the 12 beef dishes on the menu.
Though red meat is the natural choice to make at Gaucho Grill, the chicken and fish dishes – and the salads, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers and side orders – are equally terrific.
The sauteed spinach (my wife’s favorite) makes you feel like you’re doing something particularly good for yourself, but you can quickly counter that with a far-too-generous slice of flan for dessert.
Gaucho Grill is located at 11754 San Vicente, just west of Gorham. Phone is 310-447-7898.
