The 24th Annual Brentwood Spring Show is produced by Ray Leier for del Mano Productions, LLC and co-sponsored by the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.

“This is a juried show, the major prerequisite for any of our art shows: All of the artwork must be hand-made. Our audience always expects the finest works available and quite often you’ll find rare pieces and one-of-a-kind finds. We turndown hundreds of applications each season because the work doesn’t meet our standards. I look for handmade items—those that display expert workmanship and are uniquely creative and interesting are always accepted,†explains event producer Ray Leier.

Leier added, “People often look at fine art and crafts pieces as a treat or release, and in tough times they may feel an even stronger need to buy something meaningful, something lasting that adds a sense of value and worth to their life experience. For the enjoyment of our visitors we bring the best-of-the-best, rejecting hundreds of applications because the work doesn’t meet our high standards. I continue to look for artists that create the most unique and interesting handmade items, and selecting the artists for the biannual event is one of the best parts of my job. I encourage the public to attend the event, browse the displays of the exhibiting artists and listen to the great musicians who lend their talent participating in this event.†I have taken the pledge to support hand-made, hopefully you will too!â€

Ray Leier, founder/owner of del Mano Productions, LLC, is also co-owner of Westwood’s award-winning del Mano Gallery. According to the New York Times and Fodor’s, the gallery is “considered one of the best sources for wood turnings, this store also carries fiber arts, ceramics, jewelry, and hand-blown glass by top contemporary American and international artisans.†The gallery has earned world-class distinction and represents artist from 14 nations around the globe and regularly exhibits artists work around the country, including the world-famous SOFA New York, The International Expositions of Sculptural Objects and Functional Art. Leier has co-author several books on wood, baskets and glass. He was awarded the “Lifetime Achievement Award†in the fields of woodturning by the Collections of Wood Art organization.
