Bel Air Showpiece with Extravagant Amenities Hits the Market for $36 Million

Bespoke property boasts a glass-encased wine cellar, state-of-the-art movie theater, and resort-style backyard with terraced pool

By Dolores Quintana

A newly completed luxury mansion made for entertaining has gone on the market in Bel-Air as reported by The Dirt.com. Party amenities in the home include a state-of-the-art movie theater that seats 20 people, a glass-encased wine cellar that can hold 1,000 bottles of wine, and a terraced swimming pool decorated with waterfalls in an exorbitant backyard with a resort-style vibe. The estate has been listed for sale for just under $36 million.

Developer Adrian Rudomin said as quoted by The Dirt, “This house is designed for all lifestyles and occasions. You can have an amazing romantic dinner for two, a fabulous intimate event for 20 to 50 of your best friends, or a grand catered event with 500 or more people. The spaces are carefully designed to provide perfect harmony and enjoyment for all types of gatherings.”

Rudomin built the house on spec after buying the parcel for a little more than $3 million in 2018 and put several million more making the house into a showplace featuring objet d’art in tandem with his son Diego.

The home is called El Canto del Agua or The Song of the Water in Spanish. It is a bespoke 18,500 square feet estate that includes a main house with eight bedrooms, nine full baths and four half-baths and a guest house with two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths adding up to 10 bedrooms and 16 baths. The structure of the estate is an open-concept living space.

The main house comes complete with a double-height foyer, a huge great room spotlighted by the amazing floating staircase, and a linear fireplace embedded in a stone slab wall. Nearby, the family room contains the wine cellar, a wet bar made of vibrantly Purple Heart wood from Brazil. A gourmet kitchen is filled with cabinets handmade in Italy, a prep gallery, commercial class appliances and two oversized islands, one of which is made with live edge redwood from the Amazon Rainforest.

The master bedroom on the second floor has 2,700 square feet of space and a private patio, a  retractable projection screen, a sitting room, an office and a two-way fireplace. This suite is also equipped with an extravagant ensuite bathroom with two rainwater showers and a soaking tub and “showroom-style closets.”

The luxury doesn’t stop there with the backyard that is stuffed with even more amenities like a hot tub, huge infinity-edge pool, fire pit with seating, a viewing platform with an heirloom cactus plant, a fitness and wellness center and a gym with Roman style baths. The home is topped by a roof deck and there is an attached garage that holds five vehicles and is accented by a balcony that wraps around the outside of the home.

The Agency and Compass jointly hold the listing with Marco Rufo and Farah Levi from The Agency and Sally Forster Jones from Compass as the listing agents.
