Join the Fun for NaNoWriMo Writing Sessions Every Thursday in November
By Dolores Quintana
The Donald Bruce Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library has some updates for this week. Please note that there will be no “Storytime” on Wednesday or “Brick Building Playtime” on Thursday this week due to illness.
However, STAR Reader Bonnie will be available from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Please take this opportunity to engage with Bonnie and enjoy the library before our closure on both Friday, November 10th, and Saturday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day.
While there are some program adjustments, we are pleased to inform you that our adult program, NaNoWriMo, will proceed as scheduled on the following Thursdays in November: November 09, November 16, and November 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
November marks the onset of National Novel Writing Month, known as NaNoWriMo. The challenge is to write a 50,000-word novel within a span of 30 days. You can join fellow writers from the community as participants embark on their novel-writing journeys. It’s important to note that this month is all about writing, so there will be no reading or editing.
Write-in events are designed to provide you with the time and space you need to bring your creativity to life. Writers of all ages are wholeheartedly welcome to participate. We will be convening in the library’s community room upstairs, where we will engage in writing sprints – short, focused intervals for writing – and offer a supportive and encouraging environment to help you achieve your writing goals.
