LAUSD Board Member Nick Melvoin to Present Student Citizen Awards
The Brentwood Community Council (BCC) has announced its upcoming May meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 8th, at 5:30 pm. The meeting will take place at the Brentwood Presbyterian Church, located at 12000 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles.
A highlight of the event will be the presentation of the BCC’s Student Citizen Awards by esteemed guest LAUSD Board Member Nick Melvoin. Melvoin, a former BCC Board Member, will honor the exceptional accomplishments of high school students within the Brentwood community. The awards ceremony is part of the BCC’s annual tradition of recognizing outstanding student achievements.
In addition to the awards presentation, representatives from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) will address attendees regarding brush clearance requirements for properties situated in high-fire-risk zones. The discussion aims to underscore the importance of adhering to these requirements to safeguard homes and neighboring communities.
