Brentwood Community Council to Look at Extremism in Los Angeles

The Brentwood Community Council is hosting a virtual discussion on extremism in Los Angeles.

According to the BCC, the event will be hosted by the BCC Civic & Cultural Affairs Reps and take place on Wednesday, November 18 at 7 – 8 PM via Zoom. The event will be presented by the Anti- Defamation League of Los Angeles.

“Prior to Covid, the BCC had a full year of community events planned for 2020, including multiple civic engagement learning sessions. Now that we have moved to the Zoom platform for the time being, we’re ramping up our efforts once again. One of the most common complaints we receive is about incivility online and extreme points of view that can roadblock effective discourse,” the BCC said. “The information is meant to be informational, thought provoking and perhaps lead to further community discussion.”
