The latest report from Senior Lead Officer Matthew Kirk seems to show a substantial decrease in crimes committed in the Brentwood area for the seven-day period. While one crime was quite serious, another crime was foiled by a homeowner.
Burglary:
(Attempt Burglary) 03-11-25 1535 Hrs, 900 Block of Honeywood Rd, Suspects walked around the side yard of the residence and were seen on security footage looking into various windows at the back of the residence. The suspect then used a center punch tool to shatter the master bedroom window.
The homeowner ran out of the house and chased the two suspects to an awaiting BMW 7 series, black in color. The suspects fled north to Teakwood. No property was taken.
GTA (Grand Theft Auto:
03-10-25 19:00 Hrs / 03-11-25 07:30 Hrs, 11800 Block of Mayfield, a 2022 BMW X5 was taken
from the parking garage.
Theft:
03-14-25 11:10 Hrs, 11400 Block of West Sunset Blvd, Victim left her purse in a conference room at the Luxe Hotel and returned to find it missing. The victim tracked her iPad to the area of 11300 Block of Isleta. The victim observed her purse outside the window of a residence. The victim’s cash and credit cards were missing.
