BRENTWOOD CRIME UPDATE
Crime in Brentwood will still down 18%.

our community and to the prevention of crime. The database is accessed only by
the LAPD.

The below listed crimes, are grouped by type, street and listed by hundred blocks, not by exact addresses.

Robbery (definition: Someone takes your property from you by force or fear)
Suspect used a handgun to force victim to give him cash.
LOCATION: 100 S. Granville Ave
Prevention: be aware of your surroundings don�t carry large sums of money, and never display your money or jewelry in public.

Burglary (definition: Someone enters a dwelling and removes your property without your permission)
10 Residences were broken into. 5 had their window or doors smashed, kicked, or pried, and 5 had left their doors and windows open. Items taken were tools, jewelry, camera, TV, laptop, computer, and wine.
3 were construction sites.
LOCATIONS: 700 S. Barrington Ave., 800 Gretna Green Way, 1100 Amherst Ave, 11600 San Vicente Blvd, 11700 Chenualt Ave, 11800 Goshen Ave, 11900 Kearsarge Ave, 12000 Goshen ave, and 12300 Darlington Ave.
Prevention: Always lock your home or business and set your alarm.

Grand Theft Auto (definition: Someone takes your vehicle without your permission)
LOCATIONS: 600 Lorna Ln, 11700 Chenault St, 11700 San Vicente Blvd, and 11800 Wilshire Blvd
Prevention: Lock your vehicle, and set your alarm

Burglary/Theft from Motor Vehicles (definition: Someone enters your vehicle without permission)
15 vehicles were broken into last month. 8 were unlocked, and 7 had their windows smashed. Property taken from the vehicles were Cash, books, checks, purse, cell phone, IPOD�s, GPS, sunglasses, keys, bills, wallet, briefcase, amp, speakers, guitar, tennis racket, and a door opener.
LOCATIONS: 100 N. Church Ln, 100 N. Carmelina Ave, 100 Beverly Court, 200 S. Medio Dr, 200 S. Carmelina Ave, 600 N. Kenter Ave Ave, 1000 N. Bundy Dr, 11600 Dunston Way, 11600 Chenault Ave, 11700 San Vicente Blvd, 11700 W. Sunset Blvd, 11800 Gorham Ave, 11900 San Vicente Blvd, 11900 W. Sunset Blvd, and 12200 Dorothy St.,
Prevention: Do not leave anything inside your vehicle, always lock and set your vehicles alarm

Battery / Aggravated Assault (definition: Someone strikes you)
Verbal dispute lead to suspect striking victim and pulling out a knife at 100 S. Barrington Ave.
Prevention: Avoid verbal confrontations, they lead to physical confrontations

Theft (definition: Someone takes your property without your permission)
11 Crimes occurred where Bicycle, tools, wallet, watch, stroller, vitamins, dumpster, perfume, street light, and computer bag were taken
LOCATIONS: 200 S. Barrington Ave, 200 N. Bristol Ave, 300 N. Bonhill, 400 Canyonview, 600 Moreno Ave, 11400 Sunset Blvd, 11600 Gorham Ave, 11700 San Vicente Blvd, and 11900 San Vicente Blvd .
Prevention: Secure all unattended property.

You cannot rely on the police department to combat crime, you have to protect and secure your property. Be a good neighbor, keep your eyes and ears open. Call 911 or 877- ASK-LAPD…
