Brentwood Crime Update

Brentwood Crime Report, May 11– May 18

Burglary

May 17 between 2:15 p.m.-8:30 p.m., 13700 Block of Sunset Blvd. Suspect(s) smashed rear window of residence to gain entry. Once inside the Suspect(s) ransacked master bedroom closet and removed property. Property taken was jewelry.

May 18, 4 p.m., 12300 Block of Dorothy Street. Suspect knocked on front door for extended period of time while home owner’s kids were at home but didn’t not answer the door. The suspect then walked around to the back of the residence and smashed the rear window and entered the residence. Suspect fled the location prior to police arrival. No property taken.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle/Theft From Motor Vehicle

Between May 11 7 p.m. and May 12 7 a.m 400 Block of Gretna Green Way. Suspect(s) removed side mirrors of the vehicle parked on the street. Victims vehicle was a 2015 Mercedes ML 350.

Between May 14 7:50 a.m. and May 18 8 p.m., 11600 Block of Sunset Boulevard. Suspect(s) smashed passenger side window and removed property. Vehicle was parked in carport. Property taken was U.S. currency.

Grand Theft Auto

May 11 3:10 a.m. – 7 a.m., 300 Block of Cliffwood Avenue. 2021 Cadillac Escalade was taken from the street.

May 16, 12:25 p.m., 11800 Block of Kiowa Avenue. Victim left their car running and unlocked for approx. 5 mins when he came out and observed his vehicle driven away by suspect. The vehicle taken was a 2013 Honda CRV. Victim did not see the suspect.

Theft

May 12 4:20 a.m., 11800 Block of Mayfield Avenue. Suspect entered condo lobby using a key. Once inside the suspect used key to open up mail box and took mail. Suspect was a male white approx. 510 and 200 lbs mid 30’s.
