Robbery (definition: Someone takes your property from you by force or fear)
1 Handgun and 1knife was used to demand money. LOCATION: 11700 Darlington Ave and 1100 Westgate Ave
Prevention: be aware of your surroundings don’t carry large sums of money, and never display your money or jewelry in public.
Burglary (definition: Someone enters a dwelling and removes your property without your permission)
9 Residences were broken into. 1 had their door or window smashed, 6 had their door pried open, and 2 had left their doors and windows open. Items taken were Cash, Jewelry, Keys, TV, Camera, Computer, Watch, Credit Card, and laptop.
LOCATIONS: 11700 Goshen Ave., 11800 Mayfield Ave, 12000 Goshen Ave, 12300 1st Helena Dr, 20 Oakmont, 500 Moreno Ave., and 600 S. Burlingame Ave.
Prevention: Always lock your home or business and set your alarm.
Grand Theft Auto (definition: Someone takes your vehicle without your permission)
6 vehicles were taken
1000 S. Barrington Ave, 11700 Goshen Ave, 11700 Dorothy Ave, 11800 Mayfield Ave, 11800 Wilshire Blvd, and 12800 Hanover St.
Prevention: Lock your vehicle, and set your alarm
Burglary/Theft from Motor Vehicles (definition: Someone enters your vehicle without permission)
26 vehicles were broken into last month. 1 Punched Lock, 1 Pried Door, 12 were unlocked, and 12 had their windows smashed. Property taken from the vehicles were Cash, IPOD’s, Bags, Cell Phones, camera, computer, ID, Laptop, stereo, Briefcase, Sport Goods, Radio, GPS, Purse, Radar, Jewelry, CD Player, Mirror, and Amplifiers
LOCATIONS: 13700 Sunset Blvd, 12200 Goshen Ave, 11900 Kiowa Ave, 11900 Sunset Blvd, 11900 Goshen Ave, 11900 San Vicente Blvd, 11900 Foxboro Dr, 11800 Kiowa Ave, 11700 Montana Ave, 11700 Goshen Ave, 11600 Mayfield Ave, 200 Beloit Ave, 200 S. Anita Ave, 400 N. Camelina Ave, 700 Barrington Ave, 800 S. Gretna Green Way, 1000 Amalfi Dr., 1100 S. Barrington Ave, and 1300 Capri Dr.
Prevention: Do not leave anything inside your vehicle, always lock and set your vehicles alarm
Battery / Aggravated Assault (definition: Someone strikes you)
3 community members were involved in an altercation or were struck by an object.
12100 Wilshire Blvd, 3400 Mandeville Canyon Road, and 600 Hanley Ave.
Prevention: Avoid verbal confrontations, they lead to physical confrontations
Theft (definition: Someone takes your property without your permission)
13 Crimes occurred where Tools, Purse, TV, Cell phone, Wallet, Alcohol, and Catalytic Converter were taken
LOCATIONS: 12000 Wilshire Blvd, 11600 San Vicente Blvd, 11700 Chenault Ave, 11800 Mayfield Ave, 11900 San Vicente Blvd, 13000 Benvenue St, 100 N. Church Lane, 100 Medio Dr, 700 N. Kenter Ave 1100 S. Barrington Ave and 1400 San Remo Dr.
Prevention: Secure all unattended property.
