Charged with providing a helping hand to youth, Optimist Clubs conduct community service projects through more than 3,200 autonomous Clubs through which 101,000 individual volunteer Members who work together on 65,000 service projects each year which serve over six million young people.
Successful ongoing programs include a Childhood Cancer Eradication Campaign; Optimist Youth Homes for At-Risk Youth; International Junior Golf Championships; Youth Appreciation Awards; Programs for Deaf & Hearing-Impaired Youth among many others.
Optimist Members continually work to increase participation in community projects aimed at creating a brighter future for their community’s youth.
