1940 Mandeville Canyon manor hits market

The Brentwood property that Karl and Mona Malden called home for decades is for sale, listed for nearly $3.5 million. The 2-story, 3-bedroom traditional-style home located at 1845 Mandeville Canyon Road in Mandeville Canyon includes original stained- glass windows and sits on 2,650 square feet.
Karl Malden was a mainstay in entertainment, appearing in dozens of films and television series from 1940 to 2000. In 1952, Karl Malden won an Oscar for his role in A Streetcar Named Desire, and his performance in the 1954 classic On the Waterfront earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Both films starred a young Hollywood icon in the making, Marlon Brando.
Mona Malden was a Broadway actress, known for her appearance in 1943’s I’ll Take the High Road. Mona and Karl remained together for 70 years- the third longest marriage in Hollywood. Karl Malden was 97 when he passed away on July 1, 2009. Mona passed away at the age of 102 on July 13 of this year.
