Barrington Encampment Nearly Cleared, New Encampments Identified, Public Meeting Planned
According to the latest Brentwood Community Council newsletters on Monday, April 24, another cleanup effort took place at the encampment near the intersection of Barrington and San Vicente, aimed at clearing the encampment in the area.
While the cleanup was largely successful, with only one camper remaining as of Monday, May 1, attention has also turned to other areas that have unhoused people camping there. The Brentwood Community Council’s newsletter noted the situation at a new encampment on Gorham as well as tents near the VA entrance on Bringham. The Council will be working with the relevant agencies regarding the situation.
The Homelessness Task Force is working on planning a public meeting in the future to address the issue and the Brentwood Community Council will provide more information as the planning process continues.
