Eagles continue to play solid lacrosse
By Chad Winthrop
As their regular season comes to a close, the Brentwood High School Eagles boys lacrosse team find themselves playing top-notch lacrosse versus regional opponents as the Los Angeles section playoffs begin.
One of Brentwood’s recent big wins came on April 16 when the Eagles took on the Viewpoint High School Patriots and walked away with a 17-2 victory. Led by senior Johnny Bond who scored six goals, this victory was a display of offensive prowess. Senior Luke Steinfeld and sophomore Gage Dado picked up three goals each, while senior Ben Takowsky scored two goals.
And it was not all offense, as Brentwood’s defense put on a show as well. In 38 minutes of play, goaltender Aiden Levine blocked five out of six shots on goals while freshman K. Williams II picked up eight ground balls.
The Eagles played their final regular season game of the season on April 25 versus Sierra Canyon in a hard-fought 8-5 loss.
On May 1, Brentwood will take on Royal High School in the first round of the playoffs at 7 p.m. in Brentwood.
