Brentwood Library Returns to Full Schedule. Join Them for Exciting Events This Week

Children’s Librarian Maddy Gillette Announces the Resumption of Regular Schedule

After some downtime at the Donald Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library, Children’s Librarian Maddy Gillette has announced, via emailed statement, that the normal schedule for children’s events has been restored at the Brentwood Library.

They are eager to welcome everyone back to the library and are delighted to announce the return of their regular schedule for the remainder of the week.

This week’s schedule includes the following events:

  • Wednesday, 11/15 at 10:30 and 11:30 am: Toddler/Preschool Storytime
  • Wednesday, 11/15 from 3-5 pm: STAR Reader Bonnie
  • Thursday, 11/16 from 3-4 pm: Brick-Building Playtime
  • Friday, 11/17 from 3-5 pm: STAR Reader Camille
  • Saturday, 11/18 from 2:30-4:30 pm: STAR Reader Farnaz

For adults, the library will also host The Science of Happiness With Ira Israel which is a class during which Ira will humorously explain the causes of unhappiness (as well as anxiety and depression) and provide immediate tools and practices as per myriad “Science of Happiness” studies to help you cultivate joy for the rest of your life.

Ira Israel is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Psychotherapist, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and author. This class will take place on Saturday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. Please contact the library with any questions at 310-575-8273.
