Brentwood Library’s Fall Lineup Brings Science and Halloween Delights

It’s the Season For the Exploration of Science, Song, and Storytime

By Dolores Quintana

The Brentwood Library is happy to announce a series of thrilling events and science-related programs this fall, including our participation in the LA BioBlitz Challenge.

First up, join us this Saturday, September 23rd, at 11 a.m. for a special children’s concert titled “Music Time with Miss Kym.” This interactive dance concert promises a fantastic time for kids of all ages and their accompanying grown-ups.

Looking ahead to October, mark your calendars for the BioBlitz Kick-Off event featuring NASA Scientist Peter Falcon on Saturday, October 7th, at 11 a.m. Designed for elementary-aged kids (ages 5-11), this program will be a captivating exploration of science guided by an expert scientist.

In addition, October will feature two more exciting science programs: “Discovery Cube: Owls Are a Hoot” on October 24 and “Lifestyles of the Slimy and Squishy” on October 30. Due to limited capacity, advance sign-up will be required. Stay tuned for more details!

To infuse some Halloween spirit, we invite you to join us for a Family Halloween Storytime on October 28th at 11 a.m. Dress up and immerse yourself in spooky tales with your kids and fellow families.

But before all these fantastic events, let’s not forget what’s happening this week:

  • Monday, September 18th at 3:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Grinnell
  • Wednesday, September 20th at 10:30 a.m.: Toddler/Preschool Storytime
