Timely Response by Fire Station 19 Ensures Safety For Residents and Victim
On December 7, at approximately 10:20 a.m., Los Angeles Fire Department emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle rolling into a backyard at 348 N Kenter Avenue in Brentwood. Fire Station 19 from Battalion 9 in West Bureau, Council District 11, quickly attended to the incident.
The initial reports suggested that a vehicle had rolled down into a backyard, trapping one person. Firefighters successfully extricated the trapped driver, an adult woman who, fortunately, did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.
The incident involved a single car that rolled down from its driveway up the hill. Remarkably, the vehicle is stable in the backyard, and no structural damage is reported. The process of removing the vehicle, however, is anticipated to be an extensive operation.
Firefighters spent time after the rescue trying to evaluate the steps that would be necessary to deal with the vehicle on the property and find the best way to remove it safely.
