Run set for January 16 with funds benefiting public library
By Sam Catanzaro
The Brentwood run is back this weekend, with funds from the event benefiting a great local cause.
The event, being put on by a company called Mercury Events this year, will take place on Sunday, January 15, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Options include a 10K, 5K, Kids 1K, Dog Parade and a virtual run as well. Runners will start at 11620 San Vicente Boulevard.
Prices for registration are $60 for the 10K, $50 for the 5K, $15 for the Kids 1K, $25 for the Dog Parade and $40 for the virtual race. Funds raised go to benefit the Friends of the Kaufman-Brentwood Branch Library.
The brentwoodrun.com website was recently hacked but event organizers say they are working to get it up back and running. Until then, runners can sign up at runsignup.com/Race/CA/LosAngeles/BrentwoodRun.
