Time Out magazine lists Sasabune as one of the 18-best sushi spots in LA

Sushi Sasabune in Brentwood has been named as one of the 18 best sushi restaurants in Los Angeles according to Time Out Los Angeles. The restaurant’s Tock site states, “Sasabune is one of the first sushi restaurants offered “omakase” style sushi in Los Angeles.
After 27 years of business, owner-chef Hiroki Totsuka keeps making the authentic traditional sushi and inherits the former owner Nobi’s spirit and soul.”
Sushi Sasabune offers a to-go lunch and dinner menu of Omakase boxes that range from the Regular Sushi Omakase which is 10 pieces of sushi and a crab roll for $65.00 with the option to add Shell Trio (oyster, baked mussel, baked scallop) for $12.00 to a Premium Omakase 3 kinds of sashimi, 15 pcs sushi, crab roll for $130.00. There is a lunch special available as well: Donburi, a rice bowl dish, which comes with your choice of tuna, salmon, or albacore on rice, three pieces of sushi – tuna, salmon, and albacore, crab roll, salad and miso soup for $35.00.
You can also order premium sake with your meal like Kimura Premium – Junmai Daiginjo, at $800 per bottle, this is the most expensive choice but there are options like Harushika which costs about $17.00 per glass. The restaurant also offers unfiltered sake, hot sake, Shōchū, a distilled Japanese spirit, beer and wine.
