Brentwood Weekly Crime Report: December 30, 2024 – January 18, 2025

This report covers three weeks because the officers of the LAPD on the Westside were involved with duties related to the Palisades Fire. SLO Kirk said in his email, “ I’m sorry for not getting out my normal weekly crime reports but as most of you already know I was working the Palisades fire incident. From today forward I will be back on track to sending out the weekly crime report.”

It is a larger number of incidents, but the incidents occurred over a three-week period. The amount of crimes and attempted crimes went up slightly once the mandatory evacuation orders were lifted.

Burglary: 

For the week starting on December 30, 2024:

12-30-24 0800 Hours , 500 Block of N Rockingham Ave, suspect(s) smashed front glass door and  ransacked bedroom closet. The property taken was jewelry. 

12-30-25 1640 Hours, 100 Block of S. Westgate Ave, suspect(s) pried open the side door and removed faucets and fixtures from a residence under construction.  

01-01-25 0610 Hours , 11700 Block of San Vicente, suspect(s) smashed front window of business and  removed property. The property taken was clothing. 

For the week starting on January 6, 2025:

01-07-25 1930 / 01-09-25 07:30 Hours , 13200 Block of Riviera Ranch Road, suspect(s) entered the detached garage and removed horse saddles and riding boats. 

01-09-25 00:45 Hours , 12700 Block of Chalon Rd, suspect(s) entered property by unknown means and  removed property. The property taken was jewelry. On 01-10-25 3 suspects were arrested in connection with the burglary. 

For the week starting January 13, 2025

01-16-25 09:00 Hours , 300 Block of Oceano Dr, suspect(s) smashed rear glass window and entered  residence. Susp(s) removed the property and fled the location. The property taken was a handgun.  

01-16-25 10:00 Hours , 300 Block of Oceano Dr, suspect(s) smashed rear window and removed property from inside the home, the property taken was jewelry. 

01-16-25 10:10 Hours , 300 Block of Oceano Dr, suspect(s) smashed rear glass door and entered  residence. The suspect (s)removed the property and fled the location. Property taken was purses and jewelry. 

01-16-25 12:45 Hours , 300 Block of Oceano Dr, suspect(s) smashed the rear glass window, entered the residence, and removed property. The property taken was jewelry. 

01-18-25 08:00 Hours / 01-19-25 09:00 Hours , 11900 Block of Kiowa Ave, Suspect(s) pried open sliding glass door of the apartment and removed property. Property taken was handbags and jewelry.

Attempted Burglaries, for the week of January 16, 2025:

01-13-25 12:30 Hours – 17:30 Hours , 11600 Block of Mayfield Ave, Suspect(s) attempted to pry open the front door of the victim’s apartment and fled without entering the property. 

01-15-25 08:03 Hours – 18:15 Hours , 1000 Block of Amherst Ave, Suspect(s) smashed rear glass window to residence. No property was taken.
