By Senior Lead Officer, Matthew Kirk
This report covers three weeks because the officers of the LAPD on the Westside were involved with duties related to the Palisades Fire. SLO Kirk said in his email, “ I’m sorry for not getting out my normal weekly crime reports but as most of you already know I was working the Palisades fire incident. From today forward I will be back on track to sending out the weekly crime report.”
It is a larger number of incidents, but the incidents occurred over a three-week period. The amount of crimes and attempted crimes went up slightly once the mandatory evacuation orders were lifted.
