Firearm Discharged in Brentwood Assault With a Deadly Weapon
Crime has trended upward in the latest crime report from Brentwood, courtesy of Senior Lead Officer Matthew Kirk, with an assault with a deadly weapon that resulted in the discharge of a firearm, one instance of grand theft auto, and a burglary.
Burglary:
05-15-25 00:05 Hrs – 06:30 Hrs, 11700 Block of Barrington Court, Susp(s) smashed glass door of a business and removed cash and safe.

ADW (Assault With Deadly Weapon):
05-13-25 07:00 Hrs 11600 Block of San Vicente Blvd, Suspect and victim exited a white BMW 2 door and got into a verbal argument that escalated to a physical fight when one of the men retrieved a handgun from inside the vehicle and fired one shot toward the victim.
The suspect got in the vehicle and fled West on San Vicente. The victim ran South on Darlington. The victim never contacted police. It is not known if the victim was hit by the gunfire.

05-15-25 02:30 Hrs – 1300 Hrs, 11600 Block of Gorham Ave, susp(s) smashed window of vehicle and removed property. The property taken was miscellaneous tools.
