Brentwood Weekly Crime Report: November 6, 2024-November 16, 2024

Senior Lead Officer Matthew Kirk has written the latest report of crimes committed in the Brentwood area. In total, there were six criminal incidents during the period between November 6 and November 16, 2024. 

Burglary: 

11-06-24 0135 Hrs, 500 Block of S. Moreno Ave, Susp(s) smashed French door window and entered location. No property was reported taken at the time of the report. 

11-08-24 0430 Hrs, 11700 Block of Wilshire Blvd, Suspect(s) smashed the front glass door of the business and removed property. The property taken was a hair kit. 

11-08-24 1830 Hrs, 600 Block of N. Saltair Ave, Susp(s) smashed rear glass door and entered the residence. The suspect(s) ransacked numerous rooms and removed property. Property taken was jewelry, purses, and clothing. 

11-09-24 0910 Hrs, 11300 Block of Waterford St, Suspect entered the back yard and removed the key from the garage area. The suspect unlocked the kitchen door and began to remove food. The homeowner viewed the incident from camera and police arrived and arrested the female suspect at the scene. 

11-16-24 1900 hrs, 12400 Block of Promontory Rd, Susp(s) entered the residence through the second-floor balcony door by unknown means. Susp(s) ransacked the location and removed the property. Property taken included jewelry, handbags, and alcohol. 

Robbery: 

(Attempted Robbery) 11-12-24 1510 Hrs, Wilshire Blvd / Westgate, the suspect approached the victim who was walking on the street. The suspect pushed the victim and attempted to take the victim’s cell phone. The victim ran to a nearby business and called 911. LAPD arrived and detained the suspect who was positively identified by the victim. Suspect was booked for attempted robbery. The victim was not injured during the incident.
