Join MySafe: LA and Local Leaders to Learn Vital Wildfire Preparedness
By Dolores Quintana
After the Red Flag alert at the beginning of this week, brought on by the strong Santa Ana winds that sparked numerous wildfires across the greater Los Angeles area, MySafe: LA is teaming up with Brentwood Homeowners Associations, the Brentwood Community Council, and Councilmember Traci Park to host an informative wildfire safety fair on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
The press release for the event says, “Visitors attending the free Brentwood Wildfire Safety Fair this Sunday will receive more than just complimentary food and ice cream. The event offers valuable insights that could potentially safeguard lives, homes, and financial well-being. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts who will discuss home hardening, creating defensible spaces, and readiness for evacuation as directed by authorities.
Crucial topics such as wildfire insurance status, upcoming weather conditions, and other preparedness measures will be addressed. The Los Angeles City Fire Department will be present to showcase its structure defense strategies and elaborate on its collaboration with MySafe: LA in mitigating wildfire threats.
The Wildfire Safety Fair is scheduled for Sunday, November 5th, from Noon to 3 pm, and will take place at the Brentwood School, East Campus, 100 S. Barrington Place, Los Angeles, CA 90049. The event is proudly presented by the Brentwood Homeowners Association and MySafe: LA, in partnership with all Brentwood homeowners’ associations, the Brentwood Community Council, and Los Angeles Council District 11.”
This event is open to the public, and attendees will enjoy complimentary food and ice cream.
