Bubblemania to Cap Off Exciting Summer at the Donald Bruce Kaufman Brentwood Library

Join In for the Summer Reading Finale and Upcoming Storytime Sessions

The summer has been buzzing with popular activities like a magic show by Magical Katrina and an LA Zoo program in June. The Donald Bruce Kaufman Brentwood Library’s ongoing series of Dungeons & Dragons sessions have been a hit, along with recent favorites from Reptile Family and Rainbow Beard Show.

As summer reading continues until August 10, there’s still time to sign up. This weekend, the Summer Reading Finale with Bubblemania will take place, featuring a bubble show for kids of all ages on Saturday, August 3, at 2:00 p.m.

The regular Storytime program is back this week, running from July 31 through September 18. With sessions on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., Storytime is an exclusive experience for 25 children per session. Free tickets are available at the front desk on the morning of the event, but be quick because the 10:30 a.m. session tends to fill up fast.

Here’s the full schedule for the week:

  • Wednesday, July 31 at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.: Toddler/Preschool Storytime
  • Wednesday, July 31, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Bonnie
  • Thursday, August 1, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Dungeons & Dragons at the Library (Session Two) – Session full
  • Thursday, August 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Brick-Building Playtime
  • Thursday, August 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Camille
  • Saturday, August 3 at 2:00 p.m.: Bubblemania Summer Reading Finale

Don’t miss out on the fun as the summer activities come to a close!
