Art Workshop For Teens at Donald Bruce Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library
As we celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month this May, the community is invited to join in on a special event at the Donald Bruce Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library at 11820 San Vicente Boulevard. On Wednesday, May 03, 2023, tweens and teens ages 11 through 18 can participate in a fun and educational workshop on making Chinese paper lanterns.
Hosted in person, the program offers an opportunity to learn the ancient art of making Chinese lanterns using colorful and festive materials, all provided for participants. This beautiful and decorative art form has a rich history in Chinese culture and is still enjoyed by many today.
This program is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. Additionally, ADA accommodations are available upon request. Please call (213) 228-7430 at least 72 hours prior to the event.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to celebrate and learn about Asian-Pacific American heritage while creating beautiful and festive Chinese paper lanterns.
