At 505 South Barrington in Brentwood, construction is underway for a project that was first proposed in 2017. A representative from P & N Construction, the general contractor for the project, confirmed that it is the same project that has been in the works for five years. As of now, there is no word on the architect of the project or renderings of the building itself, but P & N Construction stated that the building’s construction should be completed in five to six months.
The condominium complex was slated as a 39 condo complex according to a report from The Real Deal in 2017. The site was formerly a 23-unit complex that dated back to 1958. That building was demolished and now the wood framing is starting to rise at the site. Raymond Saviss is the developer of the project through his company Barrington 505 LLC. Financing is provided by First Republic Bank.
The public hearing notice for neighbors in 2018 stated “The demolition of an existing 23-unit multi-family residential building and two single-family dwellings, and the construction of a new 45-foot tall residential building containing 38 condominium units, one 25-foot tall detached condominium unit, and a detached recreation building, all on a net 68,033 square-foot site zoned R3-1 and RS1. The project will require a haul route approval for the export of approximately 24,000 cubic yards of earth, and the removal of 20 non-protected trees.”
